Access for those with mobility difficulties

As a listed building, Alderson House has restrictions on modifications that can be made to facilitate access from people with mobility difficulties. At present there are steps and stairs to be negotiated, (illuminated at night) from the CarPark to the main entrance but plans are in hand for the installation of a lift to meet the requirements of the "Disability Discrimination Act."

Above: entrance to the building from the Car Park to the entrance hall, (where a telephone is located).

Cloak rooms and toilets are on the first floor, reached via a staircase with 22 stairs (8+8+6)
